Tablescape Inspiration: Farewell Dinner

My son just joined the United States Airforce and we are so very proud of him.  Well this past week he was getting ready to leave for basic training.  You know what that means!  Time to prepare for his farewell dinner.  He was very specific in what he wanted as far as the menu for the dinner (hotdogs, hamburgers, loaded baked potato and corn).  The menu was simple which made my life easy :).   So a lot of my focus shifted to the decor.

Red, White & Blue Airforce Theme

Edible Cake Applique from CoastalLife.com (See video below for details)

Framed Scrapbook Album as centerpiece.

Imitation dog tags from Party City used to make napkin rings.

Star balloons & ribbon from Party City.

Used Ramekin for condiments.  Made the little labels from scrapbook paper.

Used my blue wine glasses to add to the red, white and blue theme.

Little flags are from Party City.

Ms. Nikki, I want you to know you are the best of the best. I had prayed and asked God to help me get myself better organized, and there came “At home with Nikki”. Never watched utube videos before, and from out of nowhere I decided to click on video and found your video and from there your blog. I have been watching a few folks, but you are the best. You are an angel from God. Gifted, talented, unselfish in your sharing, and Godly love is effident in you in each video. I thank you and love you! I have become so organized it blows me away. May God’s protection and peace go with your son as he starts his live in the military. The Lord of host before him, the glory of God behind him and the heavenly angels encamped around him! Your gift is making room for you. 100 Fold return blessing on your life!

Joann I so agree with you. I never knew that YOUTUBE was a world of its own. I used to only click on to watch videos, then stumbled across a tutorial on how to apply “False Eyelashes” and I was hooked.
But I never knew about the Home Decor vids until recently when I was attempting to organize my vanity room and stumbled across “Nikki!” She is the bomb.com.org (lol) Love her and her creative style. I live to watch her vids and do so daily #canyousayADDICTED#? lol
